- How long will it take?
- Average job time is 6-8 weeks, but this may vary depending upon the length of the manuscript and the amount of work it requires. For example, a line edit is much more involved than a proofread.
- What is expected of the author/client?
- The client is asked to have their manuscript sent in either on or before the agreed upon due date in the agreed upon format. They are also asked not to make changes to the manuscript on their end while the manuscript is in our possession. Doing so creates a newer version of the story and makes the manuscript on which we are working obsolete.
- What is expected of the editor?
- The editor will return the manuscript either on or before the due date in the agreed upon format. They will provide detailed notes, corrections, and suggestions in accordance to the service(s) provided. They will also offer follow-up consultations, if desired, to discuss any issues or questions the client may have.
